In 2019, at NYU's Violet Ball, Robert I. Grossman, MD, CEO of NYU Langone Health since 2017, was surprised to learn that the NYU School of Medicine had been renamed in his honor. Grossman talks about growing up poor, always working, and the positive effects of "hard times" on him throughout his career. Dr. Grossman's story highlights the expansion of NYU Langone Health's quality primary and specialty care, in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island.
